A Prayer for Faith the Size of a Mustard Seed (not a mountain?)

Person kneeling beside a bed with hands clasped

Do not fool yourself. When you think that your faith is failing you, look deep within you. Search everywhere inside of your psyche. Disregard all of the learning that you have. Search through your schooling and the books that you have read, and disregard that. Because inside of all of that, there is a little mustard seed. Tiny. Hidden behind all the folds of your psyche, just waiting to be discovered.

And when you pick out that tiny, little mustard seed with the tweezers of your mind and let it open up, you realize that it’s the faith that you have had all along; the faith that fills you till you want to burst. The faith that brings tears to your eyes. The faith that grabs your throat so that you can’t talk. The faith that lets you know that God is within you and that She loves you so much that even if you wanted to, you can’t scream! Scream from the mountain tops that you are loved. That you are cared for. That you matter to the world.

So listen to your heart. Take that tweezer and find that little seed of faith inside of you. Find God within you. And finally, feel comfortable. Feel truly loved. Amen.

P.S. I Love You. And I pray you love others.

Love is God’s symphony, the perfect beauty!
