O’ Little One

O little one how do you seem

To grow within every song

Your holiness may seem a dream

Yet without you we are all alone

The strength you give is quite alive

Granting us freedom as we go

On the journeys of life we often strive

That take us from your love, oft, tho’

This time each year we stop our tasks

And take the time to pray

Get on our knees and softly ask

For promise of one more day.

And off we go; we run afar

We tell ourselves our star will rise

And search the skies to find our star

To help us join You in paradise

It seems I can’t get out of the Christmas mind of thinking.
