I had a doctor’s appointment this morning.
Her offices are attached to our local hospital.
I rolled my walker on to the elevator, and
my wife held the door for another couple.
We said good morning to each other;
the husband was in a wheelchair carrying
a pair of wrist support canes.
She said they were going to physical therapy;
when they left the elevator, he lifted his head,
smiled and said, “have blessed day.”
I think I will!
