Why has thou forsaken me”

 

I come to Your cross,

solemn and fearing.

In Your pain,

have You forgotten us?

Are You too busy

restoring Your life

and forgetting ours?

 

You are our savior,

but we feel abandoned.

 

In this covid pandemic,

I fear for myself,

for my family,

for my friends,

for all others.

 

With death all around

can You heal us?

As You healed Lazarus?

As You healed yourself?

 

I pray for forgiveness;

I pray for relief from loneliness;

I pray for guidance;

I pray for love.
